    M3 E36 and MZ3 swap

I have searched many posts today looking for an answer, but no luck.

Here we go. I am starting to aquire parts. I have E36 M3 front components including the contour 2 rims and want to buy the rear clip from an MZ3 to finish off the back end.

Two goals are bigger brakes, and wider selection of wheels

Will the 40mm offset E36 wheels fit with this combination with, or without spacers (hate spacers). And are there any needs to change brake master cylider, ABS, or booster to accomodate the new components?

Yes the 40mm offset E36 wheels will work without spacers. It would be best to swap to a 25mm master cylinder.
The ABS gets tricky though. You need an oscilloscope to test the voltage (amplitude) of the signals given off by the sensors. They all need to be the same. That's what one of the mechanics at my work did on his MZ3 5-lug. The rear sensors are very sensitive to shimming. It works damn good when it is dialed in.

What models had the 25mm master cylinder? Do all of the lines still fit up ok?

off top of my head. booster and MC is what you need for these. stock lines work. how's that for a straight to the point answer.

i'd like more information on the ABS as well. gotta search if the e36 M3/318ti combo and sensors works.

No need for a different booster. 750's have 25mm masters that bolt up straight to the stock master.

Do you know the bore on the stock e30 master cylinder??? I am a sponge for this stuff.

Also, I have heard about issues with centering the front wheels in the fenders. Do you know what the work around on this one is?

^^^^ for the centering of the wheel you need to use
offset cab and 97+ M3 control arm without those your
front wheels won't be centered (the wheels are going
to sit very close to the back).
