anyone resurface OE e30 m3 discs?

Im not sure if you are supposed to resurface these, i have always heard bmw recomends new rotors, i just figured that was to get you to spend money....

anyway i took the old rotors to work and resurfaced them. They were pretty beat and i ended up taking off 5 thousands off both sides of the fronts, and about 3 thousands off the back to make them nice, flat and above all..sexy. Im worried that i might have taken off too much.

anyone know how thin i was supposed to go before they are no good? somthing like 10mm rear 20mm front?? i cant find the exact spec.

The specific rotors vary by brand. Usually they have it stamped on the outer lip of the rotor. "Minimum thickness..."
