    E36 M3 Fr & MZ3 Rr w/16" wheels???

Just picked up a 91 318 Sedan and a complete m50 swap. I want to use e36M3 fronts with MZ3 rears. Will the E38 16x8's fit over the brakes or will I need 17's? Also will the et23 Offset be ok? With E36 M3 fronts I will need 97+ control arms and offset front CAB's right? Also will standard E30 m3 springs work with e36 front struts?

    Thanks
    Mr Sik

You need a high offset when you use e36 suspension parts. About the lowest you can go is et35. Anything lower and you need either a very stretched tire or major fender pulling or both.

dont quote me, but i beleive you need to run 17" wheels over the e36 m3 brakes.

yes. anything under 17" won't clear the calipers unless its a rare exception of a rim.
        No more e30s for me.

Yea it was just a thought didn't really know if 16s would fit on M3 fronts.

Run dsII or ltw wheels and your car will look pimp...end of story.

i have m3 brakes and my 16 inch wheels clear the calipers. the 16x8's you want are too low of an offset to fit without some major hardcore fender rolling. you could run them if you didnt have your car lowered, maybe.

the absolute minimum offset you would want would be like 35. i have 35 offset wheels now, and until i raised my car a bit was rubbing in the rear. 40 or 41 seems to be the optimal offset.

unfortunately, i can't find a 16x8 or 16x9 wheel with the right offset for the e36 5-lug swap. i am a bit torn on how i think DSII's look on an e30, but will probably end up getting them anyway because they are 17x8.5 and not too expensive.
