So when I put E36 control arms on... (sway mounts)

When I put some 96+ E36 M3 control arms on my car to center the front wheels, what am I going to do with my front sway bar?

On E30's, the front sway mounts to the control arms. On the E36, they go to the struts. This means the E36 arms won't have sway mounts.

I guess I could have the shop (That's right, I'm taking the car to a shop...I'm sick of fucking wrenches) weld the E30 tabs to the E36 arms.

    What have you guys done

I'd rather not spend the money on new sway bars as I am really trying to be done with mods.

I'm centering the wheels, ordering some new rims, replacing my gauges, installing Jordan's headliner, and then I'm done done done.

Call ground control and order e30 m3 style tabs, they weld to the side of the strut housing and you use e30 m3 links to mount them to the sway bar. Both tabs cost me $24

          done.
No, they still have a hole there -- will bolt up just the same

I personally would not weld on an aluminum control arm.

If done correctly by an experienced welder it is not a problem. On the other hand...

                      wimp ;)

jk man, like the others said they will just bolt up worse case just drill a hole in the control arm and bolt the tap up, just like the e30.

the 98 m3 offset control arms didn't really help my car out ahole lot, I guess I'll be trying camber/caster mounts next...

I know everyone loves the search tool on here, but Lukas will you do a final run down of the parts you have used? You know just when you are finished and feeling generous.

And anyone else that has a centered wheel and five lug since I am sure there are many was to do it.

Also did anyone decide if the Treehouse bushings are any good?

didn't fix the caster on the e36 swap, haven't driven the car yet to see how they feel though.
