That's weird, because the complete trailing arm assemblies that I put on my '90 325iS were said to be from a '97 Z3... my axles fit perfect. Perhaps they got it wrong at the parts puller and actually sent me E36 318ti parts?
Are E30 axles too short for Z3 trailing arms???

it could be from 1.9L z3. Those used same trailing arms as 318ti... As I was saying, not all trailing arms are created equal, which tends to cause a lot of misinterpreted information floating around. Only reason I know what I know, is because I failed numerous times.
God I hate failing at something that's supposed to be easy, lol.
Also, Bimmer630, yeah, I asked a lot of questions just like you are asking... I am not trying to give you hard time for asking. If all my questions were answered, I wouldn't be a deer caught in the 5-lug headlights. My reality check bounced when I thought I had everything I needed. That's why I'm in this section all the time trying to help answer all questions I have answers to. I'd hate to see someone going through the same crap I went through, decommission their car for weeks at a time and take friend's parent's garage like I did.
So yeah, keep your questions coming, if I sound irritated, I promise you, I am not at all, lolLast edited by Aptyp; 03-09-2009, 02:07 PM.Comment

This is progress!! :D
CLIFF NOTES: i-4 1.9L Z3 and E36 318ti have the same narrower (hub flange to hub flange) trailing arms when compared to the wider i6 2.3L+ Z3 trailing arms
Using the Z3 1.9 or 318ti stuff allows E36/E46 wheels to be used: et[38-41]
Is this straight now?Last edited by clavinZERO; 03-09-2009, 04:43 PM.
