    Z3 compatable?

I found a '01 z3 being parted out. not possitive on exact model (it had a i6 in it before). what can i snag from it to do a 5ive lug on my '90 325is?

Aptyp, your using the z3 rear obviously, but can I use the z3 in front? everything I find seems to say M3

Most useful thing out of it would be the steering rack and shortshifter to be honest.

Get entire suspension, subframe and everything. Get as much of it as you can. When I do my write-up for 5-lugs from z3 parts, I'll make sure to shoot you a PM, meanwhile, get everything.

are you sourcing your parts from an M-z3 or just a regular 6 cyl? I believe in the rear all you need from the Z3 is the bearings (have to get new ones), used hub flanges, brake rotors and calipers w/mounting.

I am trying to figure out if the front M-z3 struts will work for an E30 swap, i jumped the gun and paid a guy online for lower arms and front struts from an M-roadster and now im not sure the struts will work! oops!

Go over to E30Tech shoot Winfred (or over here, although he isn't over here much) a PM. He used all MZ3 parts on his 5 lug.

I just registered with e30tech but they wont let me post anything yet.. prob have to wait a day or so.. But i did find two posts on their buy guys who say to have used M-z3 suspensions on their E30's. i think it will work but i just wanna be 100% sure before i mess around and get the wrong stuff.
also what kind of wheel offset problems are guys running into when using z3 brakes and bearings/flanges on their E30 trailing arms? I have read that the arms are the same between Z3's and E30s, but if you put a Z3 arm in your E30 the wheels will stick out too far. I have also read that the arms have the same part # so the hubs must be what sticks out further.

please share your rear setups and let me know what hurdles i can expect to come across when using Z3 flanges and bearings in my current trailing arms
