    True, True.

So assuming that the the front and rear (or E30 and E36) have the same number of teeth on the spindle/hub, then the readings should be the similar all around. Then if you check the differences in diameter and length of E30 & E36 sensors, then you should be able to properly space and bore out the ABS hole to fit E30 sensors.

The biggest problem I can foresee, would be if the E30 sensors were shorter than the E36 ones, forcing you to remove material off of the spindle. That would not be good.

Running with different size tyres front/rear makes the ABS light lit at certain speed.

My friend tried with 205/40/16 and 225/45/16 and lthe "breakpoint" was at 160Km/h.

So the tyre size does matter.
      Current:

      BMW 320i 2d 2.0 m20 -88
      BMW 325i Cabriolet 2.5 m50 -88
      BMW 316i touring 1.6 m40 -90
      BMW 320i 4d 2,2 m54 -01

so if somebody was real smart they could find a way to use different size tires front to rear to offset the difference in E36/E30 sensor readings

no, he's talking about different tire size front to rear... What happens is that while car travels at one speed, front wheels make more revolutions than rear thereby throwing ABS computer off.

When selecting tires, make sure front and rear diameters are the same or close. I did run 195/60 fronts and 195/65 rears, and up to 120mph, ABS light never came on, so the difference in diameters has to be at least higher than this.

ummmm... yeah thats what i wrote. Im saying that if the ABS freaks out with the SAME size tires after installing E36 front end parts... In theory somebody could alter the tire size front to rear to compensate for the sensors being off
