Help with spacers/tires

I just picked up my e30 m3 5 lug :D. In addition to that I picked up some bbs rk's 17x8 et40. From what I've heard/read I need 15mm spacers all around, is this right? I just dont want to be another guy selling spacers because I bought the wrong ones.

Also, what profile tires will work with this setup? I'll be running h&r springs.

yeah 15mm or even 20mm spacers will work.

there are so many different tire sizes you can run on that wheel that im not even going to start listing them. search a little, especially in the "wheel/tire fitment thread" in the "wheels & tires" subforum.
