    rear suspension noise, help

when im driving over any sort of disturbance in the road, from a small crack to a manhole cover and the like there is a terrible like clunking coming from the right rear of the car. I thought it might have been the shock, but when i do it manually the shock seems to return correctly with no noise, i am going to end up taking the wheel off and getting a better look but i was wondering if anyone had any ideas to what it might be. its a very distinct hollow clunk.

Easy to change. The stock ones are like 11.99 a peice from bav auto. I think most people buy the ones for the convertibles cause they are stronger. they are about 19.99 from bav auto.
