    fuel pump going?

well i heard that the fuel pump likes to make a lot of noise right before its about to die, so i was wondering how hard a job it is to change this and what a new part would cost. thanks

**thought i was in the other forum, guess i was checking my other post, can someone move this to the correct location, my bad**

What's the production date on your car? Depending on the date, you might have two fuel pumps. Replacing the in-tank pump or transfer pump is pretty easy, and that's usually where the high-pitched whine comes from.
