    Weird Vibration at speed...diagnosis help?

I am going to have my car checked out tomorrow, but hopefully a few of you guys might give me some words of wisdom...

The vibration is a violent shaking at random speeds. It scares me to drive, and I am SUPPOSED to attend a track event on Friday. Yikes help me out!

I've eliminated a few things that the vibration can be, and it's not my wheel bearings, brakes, or wheels/tires. I just changed the brakes, but the vibration occurs whether or not I'm on/off the gas and brakes.

I have a feeling it's my rear shock mounts, but I'm wondering what else I should check out as well. TIA.

control arm bushings being worn can cause "speed wobbles" at around 55 mph+

I had the same thing happen to me. I will just get worse too :) New ball joints/control arms and bushings and it will be fixed. You can look at the bushing and see if they are worn. And if you jack the car up and have a bunch of in/out movement your ball joints may be bad.

I got it solved. It ended up being my rear rotors having gunk in between the rotor hat and parking brake shoes. Ick it was horrible. I just cleaned it out and it went away. W00T.
