Parking brake button

I pull up the parking brake lever, it sets fine, it holds fine. The button appears to be stuck inside of the lever, it does not come out when I push it in to release the lever. Anything?

For me, the handle itself was sliding up so I couldn't press the button down far enough to get it to release. Try pushing the handle down towards the base, it should slide down revealing the rest of the button.

haha when i first got my car i thought it had a deep button too
