Switched wheels + vibration = help!

So as the title says, I switched my 17x8 wheels (brand new tires) for a set of used 18x8 with almost new tires which I procured from CL source in Texas. The new set is OEM style 71 composite which are hubcentric and have been told they should fit right onto my 200 325i. Problem is, when installed I feel vibration at low speeds, and comes and goes at higher speeds (btw: there wheels are no longer installed).

Aside from possibly needing to have the 71's balanced, is there a way to check for suspension wear, like the front bushings or something like that? Any ideas?

The first action would be to have the wheels balanced, checked for being bent or out of round, and check to be sure that the wheels are a close sliding fit on the hubcentric rings in the hub.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

you need to make 100% sure that the wheels are hubcentric. This sounds to me like a hub centering problem.
