Hey SkinnyVT. I guess it is you I met at Calabogie in July, right? Indeed the H compound is one of Wilwood's best kept secret if you run sticky tires (too much grip for street rubber). The H compound is a superb high friction pad, low wear endurance brake pad. It is not "officially" yet available for the Dynapro caliper, but can probably be cross referenced from another caliper. Check on www.rotorsandpads.com for compatibility.

    Dynapro w/bridge bolt.

I have ran without those screws before. It's a minor pain when stuff is moving around on you, but it's no big deal. I would have thought that Lee would machine a hole in the rotor so they would line up.

Let's remember it is a VW rotor, and that it is slightly different from a BMW one. I can have machined a countersunk hole for a setscrew. How much are you willing to pay extra for that? $20 per disc? Is that worth it?

As far as aligning the hub and rotor holes for mounting a wheel, BMW has a very practical aligning tool in the trunk. I was made especially for that.

That's what makes it a minor pain instead of a major one. ;)

I wouldn't pay for the holes drilled, but some people would for sure. You should consider it an option.

Check out my thread in the members ride section on my S52 build, I have pictures of it mounted.

I've been driving around for a week now with them, the feel and modulation is great. I can't wait until I can get a decent set of tires on the car, I'll really be able to "throw out the anchor" so to speak.

My dad also got a chance to thrash the car a bit and was especially happy with the brakes. That is from someone who used to race regionally in GT4 SCCA back in the day.

How would this kit stand up to 380+ hp in an E30? I currently have borbet type A's and don't want to sell them just yet.. Also, for the rear, what would best compliment the rear?

                          front 7.5x16 type A's
                          Rear 9x16 type A's

The 280mm kit will not stand a chance on a 380hp car. Too much to manage. You may want to look at the 300x32mm race kit. And honestly, you may need even bigger, such a 332mm x 32mm kit.

2800lbs and 380hp car, that's a lot of kinetic energy there....

I kinda figured that.. Just thought I asked.. With the kits u mentioned I would probably would need bigger wheels as I think the borbet A's will not work.. If you know off hand if they would let me know.. I've downloaded ur PDF files to measure against when I get back...thanx for the help

You may have a lot of HP, but what are you doing with it? I'm assuming if you're running staggered Type A's, you aren't exactly hitting the HPDE's with R-comps or anything.
