    Odd brake dust pattern

For some reason my rear wheels gather much much more brake dust than my front wheels. This seems counterintuitive because the front does more of the braking. So I'm wondering:

    1. Does anyone else experience this?
    2. Could my front brakes not be fully functioning?

    Thanks

    Maybe different compound pads.

I would suspect a different pad front to rear as well.

A bad bias valve or sticking calipers could cause the rear brakes to be doing more work than they should.

Is there a way to test the bias valve before I spend money on a new one?

You could rig up a test jig, but I suspect the parts to do so would cost more than a new bias valve. And then there's the problem of locating the specs that define the pressure curve of the bias valve.

I would think different pads. Maybe a low dust in the front?
