    Rear spring perch busted!!!

So i started working on my project today and i ran into a major problem. The rear left upper spring perch is demolished. Seems MD rust and crappy roads got the best of the perch and its torn almost the whole way around. I have a welder but this i can already see being a PITA. Anyone ever seen anything like this before?

Tomorrow im going to level off the body and take some measurements to see if the rear body subframe is bent, i hope not because this body is heading to the JY if so. :(

    go ahead and junk it.

the e30 tourings have a bad problem of doing that over here. I have seen atleast 3-- but never a 2 or 4 door do that.

That would be a real bear to repair. I suspect that the odds are that there is significant rust damage elsewhere, which would mean that this shell is junk yard fodder. Find another shell in better condition and make one good car out of two.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I talked with Yan a bit and i think what i will do is take off the subframes, inspect and build them up with the camber/toe tabs, re-enforcments, and poly bushings. Then decide if i will deal with this frame or source a new one. I think i will be leaning towards parting it and replacing the body.

Anyone need good bronzit doors, hood, trunk :(

Anyone have a straight clean body thats a roller or blown engine? :(
