need to replace brake booster w/ smaller one for space

Any one know of which smaller sized brake boosters that will bolt into an E30 body?

Mine seems to be shot and I want to make some space while I'm replacing it... Also, I can't spend a fortune on it this close to the big holiday so cost is some what of an issue..

    Any help is appreciated.

I had 8 1/2 years and started again on purpose.

I hated smoking the whole 3 years I started again.

        SO glad to quit!

But yeah, there are tons of options on the smaller booster. E21, E30 "iX", one of the Golfs, the 944, and I am sure a few others.

        GL!

What do you need more space for?

An iX booster and master or E32 735 booster and master are a good option.

1975-1983 BMW e21 3-series but the shaft needs to be shortened 75mm to work on the e30 chassis.

not to thread jack but does anyone know the diameter of the 944 booster? and what MC are you supposed to use with the 944 booster?

if you can't fit any of the boosters listed above, your options are going to be limited. There are some aftermarket systems that are expensixe. Some use the remote setup from a larger car that places the mc/booster where your air cleaner would go. I suggest hydroboost from an e23/24/28. It might help if you told us what you want to do.

I'm looking at an M52 or a possible V8 swap...I have both available just cant decide which way to go.. The stock e30 booster I have is quite large and looks bad.. Want to clean up the engine bay a bit..

i suggest you figure out which engine you wish to use before you decide on your brake arrangement. all of the options listed above will work with the 6. with the 8, your options are going to be extreemly limited.
