    RX-7 Brake rebuild

I have a set of RX-7 front calipers. I am going to put them on my car, but I want to rebuild them and powder coat them first. I found rebuild kits for them, but they do not include orings that go in between the two halves of the caliper.

My questions is where do I find orings that will stand up to the heat when I put them back together?

Ive reused the old o-rings before without problems, you can also get the orings from any auto parts store, make sure they are chemical resistant.

Hey Sennafan. Most likely the o-rings in question are still very good, unless they got pinched. So, don't worry about them. If you have access to a beadblaster (no coarse sand, but soft glass), then I suggest to first polish the bores with sand paper, then put a towel to protect the bores, and beadblast the halves.

Good luck with the process and don't be shy to show us pictures. BTW I prefer zinc plating to painting. It lasts way longer but youwill need to wirebrush the metal after beadblasting, to give it a shine. Then zinc plate.
Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.
