Ireland Engineering E30 brake upgrade kit

Thinking about getting the Ireland Engineering E30 brake upgrade kit. Has anybody here done this? I tried searching but didn't come up with anything. I want better than oem brakes, but I don't want a big brake kit, too much $ for me right now. Here's the description of the kit, since the link I tried didn't seem to work on another board.

Complete front and rear brake upgrade kit for the E30 325 (1984 to 1991). Kit includes 4 premium slotted rotors, 2 sets of PBR Ceramic pads, 2 wear sensors and 1 liter of high temp brake fluid. Nice brake upgrade without making the jump to an after market big brake kit.
    $330

I was thinking of getting SS lines as well for $90

I guess what I'm wondering more than anything is if they actually provide more braking power than regular oem brakes. I might just get new rotors and pads and SS lines if they don't. I'm assuming that would be cheaper.

For $330 I would just save it and get the Massive Street kit. With the IE kit you'll still have your old calipers providing the same 'force' as before. To hold you over, get some decent pads and flush your brake system. I used PBR metalmasters(axxis) for years on otherwise stock brakes(AWD 2-piston calipers/rotors) on my 250-300hp DSM's and was very satisfied with the value and performance.

or just rebuild your brakes, get ss lines, new pads and brembo blanks, probably more than enough braking force for a street car

          and definitely reasonably cheap

You mean rebuild the calipers? I've never done that before. Where's a good rebuild kit for them do you know?

i think bavarian auto sport has a rebuild kit. and i would go with just getting new pads, a rebuild kit, a brake fluid flush, and some decent (non slotted or drilled) blanks. oh and ss lines. you wont need anything more then that.

Thanks for that info, the uuc link doesn't work though. I'm guessing it's supposed to be motorwerks? I'll look into it. Free SS lines is a great way for me to buy!

that should have all the info, I'm in the process of doing this too. I think its a great alternative and should provide more than enough.

I'd look on fap99 or autohausaz for rebuild kits, their relatively cheap.
