Well aware. What I couldn't remember was if the backing plate was in front of or behind the hub/bearing assembly.
IE, if I want to completely remove the heatshield am I going to have to pull the hub/bearing assembly.
I'm the type of person that if I'm going to have to pull a 19 year old wear part on a car to do a job, I'll go ahead and replace it so I'll never have to do it again.

yes, the heat shield is definitely behind the hub. It can be easily liberated with a pair of tin snips though.Comment

I bought mine from Summit, I scoured for like a month and they had a good price and I felt more trusting of them then from some little site on the web. I unded up searching for a coupon code and found on that was something like 15% off and free s&h. See if you can find something like that, I forgot exactly how much it was but it was way cheaper than anyone else. BTW be prepared to wait about 3 weeks to get them as they are not a stock item.Comment

Quick question, I just bought the same exact caliper BUT I noticed these are powder coated black vs Lee's anodized ones. I'm thinking this is no big deal right?IG: deniso_nsi Leave me feedback here

Yes, I've got cash and I am looking. On the tight side for the car budget, but I'm trying to work on a deal for one right now.
D, as far as the powdercoat vs anodize, I never even noticed! But those calipers came from speedshop in Arizona and not through Lee. But they are the same model number/piston size as the one Lee sells.Need parts now? Need them cheap? steve@blunttech.com
