Question about OEM proportioning valves for rear disc conversion

I am interested in converting my '85 318i's rear to accommodate discs but wasn't sure what to do about proportion valves/master cylinders etc.

The car is not equipped with ABS and when frequenting junkyards, the master setups on most e30's seemed different to mine.

Other than the rear trailing arms/disc setup. Will/Should I also be replacing the brake booster/master cylinder accordingly? Also where is the proportioning valve located?

Should be under the brake booster.. leave it alone...and you can keep the same master as well. The non abs MC has 3 lines, so if you end up changing to a different MC you'll need to T off of one line.

      thanks for the info.

Braking bias is still correct without changing the prop.valve? On other cars it would cause the rears to lock first....

I apologize as I'm still new to these cars
