    Rotor Thickness and Caliper Selection

    Hey guys,
I found a type of front caliper that is for a 263mm rotor (versus the 270 for the e30) that is 4 pistons. I can find a bunch that are essentially free.

If I did the drawing and CNC'ed the brackets, could I mount these right up to the e30 rotor? The caliper is designed for 22mm rotor whereas the e30 is a 19 mm rotor. Is this a problem?

Thickness wise, no. Not as long as there is enough piston travel to be safe at full clamp, on a spent brake pad.

Excellent. I should be able to test that then. Thanks very much!
