    ebrake cables

Do you guys have any advice for removing the ebrake cable from the trailing arm? I'm doing a 5-lug and want to transfer it from the 318 rears to the ti's I have on stand by. I disconected the brake shoes and the spring mechanism, but the cable is very very very (very) difficult to pull out, as if the housing is seized into the TA. I'm half tempted (but would rather not) order some new cables, cut the old ones and continue dropping the subframe for other items to install.

    advice...

    appreciated

Liberal application of PBlaster, Kroil, etc., and plenty of time for it to work (days, not hours or minutes) should help break the corrosion and allow the cables to be pulled from the trailing arms.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
