    Installed My E30 M3 Control Arms and E36 M3 C/A Bushings

    I have to say this was a great improvement from my tired old ball joints and sloppy/torn c/a bushings. I ended up going with the steel arms, but the E30 m3 ones, and the 95 bushings. I am running no front bar *not by choice* but this REALLY stiffened up the front, and surprisingly reduced body roll. I put a bit of a preload on the bushings by installing them a little crooked.

    I also bought some new tie rods, but didn't have time to install them before leaving work. Next week i'll be able to do that and an alignment, too bad I don't have an IE bar and camber plate to go with it. I definitely reccomend this setup to anyone, especially if you get a discount, I was able to get everything for $296, which is a great price.

    The steel E30 M3 CA's are the same as the non-M3 CA's IIRC. The aluminum CA's arent really worth it anyways though on a street car/

      I wasn't sure if they were the same or not, I thought the ball joint may have been different. I didn't waste the money on the aluminum ones, and that really is what they are.. a waste.

        I've always heard that the M3 aluminum arms give much faster steering input. Do yall know of someone who installed them and felt no change? I've got the M3 "offset" bushings for more neg. camber. What's the benefit of the e36 bushings? is it the same as the e30 M3? Thanks for the info!

          No. If anything the aluminum flexes more then the steel. I know they fatigue and need to be replaced alot faster then a steel one will ever.

          Offset CAB's give you more caster. They don't give more negative camber....

            Nothing wrong with Aluminimum for stock cars, all late tourings have then as standard and i dont think they flex. I would say its well worth it for a road going car.
