Motor Mounts on a Reinforced Subframe?

Quick question... After I reinforced my subframe with the TMS kit, I now realize that the "shields" that go around the motor mounts do not fit. Do i need to bend these in order to make them fit? do I still need them? I am also using the TMS oem HD motor mounts with the aluminum caps. thanks in advance.

The shield protects the mount from heat from the exhaust manifold. It will wear engine mounts faster.
