On the subject of the lower control arms (front passenger side only) my outer ball joint is starting to wiggle pretty loose and I was thinking of replacing the entire LCA rather than just the ball joint itself. Is it necessary and/or recommended to replace the mounting bushings as well? I understand they come in a set of 2 but I assume they are for both left and right CAs? In this case, would I only need one bushing? Please correct me if I am wrong. Thanks!Last edited by bcrdukes; 08-01-2010, 10:38 PM.1989 E30 BMW 325i

I can't speak as to longevity of any parts as I've not had anything on the road yet, but truthfully everyone says lemforder, lemforder, lemforder, but with other manufacturers offering life time warranties for less money....seems like a good option. Granted the warranty has some pretty tight specifics, but none the less it is out there.

I am running Ocap control arms. According to some uninformed forum people, I should be planning my own funeral for when they break in half.
I have never heard of anyone having any issues with any brand of control arms except some of the no-name ebay arms, and then, its just the ball joints that do not last as long.

Regarding Lemforder. I have been to a Taiwan/China trade show and seen many fake Lemforder e30 M3 arms with my own eyes.
Probably from the same people who make the Goochi purses.
