    Parking brake shoe replacement

Any trick to this? i've got the shoes installed fine, but i can't get the rotor to fit back on, it keeps hitting the shoes. The brake is off, the tensioner wheel is set all the way back, what else can i do?

Nothing? just take some sandpaper and wear them down till they fit or something?

SOmething is out of adjustment. Make sure the shoes are actually centered too, common mistake.

Will do. The Bentley's "Installation is the revers of removal" kinda sucks.

Something else to try would be to losen the adjustment screws in the car right below the ebrake handle. They would have been set for the old shoes, which most likely had less on them.

Ok, it almost seems as if the actuator is spreading them too far apart on the bottom. When i pull the ebrake handle though, the actuator works fine and pushes the shoes out normally. The shooes are centered and everything, rotor still wont fit. New actuators maybe?

This is really pissing me off, everything fits fine, except it looks like the bottom is pushed out too much. The actuators are fine, i can't figure out wtf is wrong. Goddam, last time i did this it was so easy, granted it was on another car.
