    What you describe sounds most like a bad wheel speed sensor. Disconnect all but one of the sensors and drive the car. If the light comes on, that sensor is working. Repeat that test with each of the other sensors. If you find a sensor that doesn't cause the light to come on, it is bad. If all of the sensors cause the light either the ABS module is bad or the ABS unit is bad. In that case replace the ABS module first.

    A bad ABS relay will cause the light to come on when you turn the ignition on and never go off.
    The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
