Subframe Swap Question

Hey, ive got an 84 318i with the m10 in it, im doing a m20 swap and obviously need to use the subframe from the m20, will it bolt up in the same position as the previous subframe or will i need to do any modding?

The subframe are the same...

The 318 comes with a small case diff (168); I am not sure if the subframes or half shafts are different but I would at least want to swap out the diff.

the subframes arent the same, the mounting points where the engine mounts sit are differently and also in the 318, there is an extra damper.

The really early 318s did have different subframes, and the late model/m20 ones should bolt up just fine.

Anyone have a picture of what the early subframe looks like? I'm curious
