The car is being prepped for track use and while it's down i'd like to put the brake cooling set up in.
I still haven't tracked it first hand so i can't say if the brakes do hold up. The previous owner didn't mention brake fade or failures. OTOH he gave me 3 boxes of pads and which is why i'm running the HP+s for a while.
The bimmerforums search was pretty fruitless, i didn't find a whole lot of e30 tech or pictures. I did see a ghetto fabulous hose clamp around the strut holding a hose clamp on the duct hose which if all else fails i'll have to try. Then i'll just need to make a flange to connect the hose to the vent. My valence looks just like the one on your 85 325e Jgood, minus the lip.
I don't care about noise or dust, but i want to be able to make the 20 minute trip to the local track without swapping pads. Can i do this with the HT10's or pf6's? Longer trips would be made on a trailer.Comment

You can drive to/from the track on HT10's, but they'll be rather noisy. PFC 01 or 06 pads are not nearly as noisy and are, in my opinion, a better track/race pad than the HT10 pads.
If I was sufficiently inspired, I'd jack up a corner of the 38 car and get a picture of the cooling ducts. Maybe later...The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
