What do I need to replace?

My 325es feels like I am running over "rumble strips" when accelerating in first and second gears. I'm assuming it's suspension related. I know it needs shocks/struts but are my bushings bad too? What should I replace? What should I replace them with? What's the best place to purchase them? I've searched and posted a few dif places with this and still not sure what I need to do. I'm new to BMW's and still learning.

    Thanks.

If this vibration is worse with more throttle and not present when very gently accelerating, it is almost ceratinly from a failed CSB. Since in almost all case a failure of the CSB is caused by binding u-joints in the drive shaft, both must be replaced.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

It is worse with more throttle. I can let off the throttle and it dimenishes.
So, I need CAB's and a new u-joint? There is also "slack" in the drive train somewhere. Would that be a bad u-joint? What would cause the u-joint to bind in the first place? -Worn shocks/springs? What is a good replacement for all? This is a daily driver.

      Thanks,

Buy a rebuilt driveshaft with the CSB installed already. Don't try and replace the CSB. Just get a whole balanced shaft. I speak from painful experience.

I think CAB = Control Arm Bushing but what does CSB stand for? Center Shaft Bushing? I'm a noob after all.

          Thanks.

Center Support Bearing... it's in the middle of the driveshaft. The symptoms you describe lead me to believe that it's the driveshaft, and not your suspension, that is the issue.

You need a new CSB (Center Support Bearing) and driveshaft. Slack in the drive train can also be caused by bad u-joints and/or a bad CSB. The cause of u-joint failure is wear and lubricant failure. The u-joints in a BMW drive shaft are sealed and when the lube gives out the bearings wear and bind.

                Thanks Guy's,

I see ramanufactured ones for around $360.00 online in a few places. Do either of you have suggestions on where to buy from?

                Thanks.
