ATE Caliper Bushing Replacements

So I ordered the ATE guide bushing repair kit from Pelican and it comes with everything pictured here, but does not include the white plastic inserts that were in the factory setup. I didn't notice that there were no plastic inserts (which is the part that was actually worn out :curse: ) in the kit until I had already pulled everything apart.

Is there a place where I can order the plastic insert or do I just have to bite the bullet and get the turner brass bushings?

The OE bushings that I get from a dealer don't have any plastic pieces. You use the bushings as-is.

I went ahead and assembled the calipers "just to see" and they seem to fit pretty tight and without much off-axis deviation from their original path.

I'll update if I have any issues, but these are a set of rears and I'm doubtful that I'm a seasoned enough driver on the track to notice a problem other than through visual pad inspections during wheel changes.

Since the car is a dedicated track ride, I'll probably try Turner's brass bushings after these burn out. Seems like a better system if you don't mind keeping them clean and occasionally lubing them.

Interestingly, this exact same topic was covered a month ago. The new bushings already have the sliding parts in them. No need to add the teflon sleeves as before. More details can be found after a quick search.

Did a ton of searches with different and/or operators. Different combinations of brake, caliper, bushing, sleeve and insert never came up with anything useful (like the conversation you're referencing). Sorry if I'm causing discussion board traffic jamming, but it's not because I'm lazy.

More than open to user error being the cause of this and am definitely open to suggestions for how I can do better searches if you have them. For example: What search terms pull up the conversation you mention that this thread is duplicating?
