    Rear pad suggestions?

Just wondering what the best pads were, I need rear pads and possibly rotors.

I've heard good things about the Hawk HT-10s, but I figure a "track only" pad would be a hassle on the street. Would the Hawk HPS hold up to occasional track use? Any others to recommend?

Also, will I need to bleed the brakes to do a rotor swap? Never swapped rotors before, not sure what's involved.

HT10 pads are fine on the track, but not suitable for street use. They are noisy and have little bite when cold. HPS pads are fine on the street and may work for you during the first one or two track events, but they aren't remotely a track pad. HP+ pads are in between those two, but like HT10's they are noisy.

PFC06 pads are another option. They are more street friendly than HT10 or HP+ pads, but still a bit noisy. But they are definitely track pads.

It isn't necessary to bleed the brakes when changing rotors, though if it hasn't been done in a while a flush of brake fluid is a good idea. Brake fluid should be changed no less often than every other year in a street car and at least every six months in a car that see track duty.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Went with the HP+. Fantastic at the track, very very powerful and very little wear in two days of a driving school (though the track didn't have many hard braking zones with 160hp). They squeak like a mofo though, so I gotta pull 'em off and put more streetable pads on.

FYI, the HP+ basically stop working when they are overheated. Unlike most pads, you will get little to no warning before that happens.

They are the ultimate street/autox pad, but they are NOT recommended for track use.

Interesting. The site I bought them from said they were relatively streetable, which is why I picked 'em up. The squeaking tells me otherwise, so I'm going to be swapping pads out for track days it seems. Looks like I got the worst of both worlds, LOL!

Goop the shit out of them with CRC anti-squeal before you replace. It makes the noise livable.

Tried the goop in the packets, didn't help at all really. I don't know how people can run these on the street. I'm sick of doing brake jobs.
