breaking problem???

when breaking i feel and hear a clicking through the peddle itself. the sound seems like it's coming right from the peddle area. what would cause that? booster? m/c? anything anti-lock related? fluid level is fine. this proble came on the morning after a 50 mile drive in snow and slush.

i suspect the abs sensor but don't know which 1. how do i find out which 1 it is? if the anti lock warning light comes on after the car is moving, it's the sensor, right? are they easily changable?
