Need your opinions on Treehouse Cab installation

So I have been trying to install the treehouse cabs and am running into some issues.

I have the cabs on the control arm but I cannot bolt it back up becuase the the cab is off by a few mms from the guides on the frame. I tried to remove the ball joint from the subframe and used everything short of a grenade to try and get the effin bolt loose. I basically have been soaking it with PB, heating the crap out of it, and using an extended breaker bar. I have even pounded opn the cab to try to get it as snug as possible on the arm. Still fail...

I even got so deperate that dremeled the hard edge ofthe cabs a bit thinking that if I could get 1 bolt through and tighten it down that the angle would help center the cab onto the guides. Again Fail...becuase I dont want to ruin the cab with dremeling.

So this is what I am asking. Should I continue to wrestle with the control arm ball joints and then have to deal with banging on the subframe to drop the ball joint and pickle fork. If so any hints? should it apply pressure to the ball joint with a jack then try to go at the ball joint nut again? or should I let the front subframe sag a bit so I can try to align the cabs then tighten it all back up again?

    what are your thoughts?

The only way this is going to work is to get the CAB's in the right position on the control arm. That might mean removing the control arm and using a press to get the CAB on. The inner ball joint nuts usually aren't that difficult to remove, but if corroded they can be a bear (especially the right hand one). On occasion I've had to remove the subframe from the car to to pull the control arms.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

The cab is the farthest up on the control arm. It will not move up any more, even if i used a press.

Thanks J levie, any other ideas? Will putting pressure on the ball joint with a jack help?

if the CAB's are as far onto the arm as they can go, I'd suspect that the control arms might be some off brand part that isn't exactly equal to OE parts. The solution in that case would be replacement of the control arms with Lemfordor (OE) parts.

I don't have the THR CABs, but when I did it I used the jack to get it all to line up right.

its a pain sometimes to get them to line up but with a prybar(screwdrive for you cheapies) and some leverage you can work them on there.

So I dropped the subframe a little bit and pryed them on. I'm soo relieved to get that done, now onto the next thing...getting the new diff in. Hopefully I wont have to start a new thread for that lol ::Fingers crossed::

                    Thanks for the Help Guys
