    need help with rear brake!

I am in the process of replacing my rear brake pads and rotors and have

come to a roadblock: everything has been removed, and all that remains is

the old rotor. It is not fused or rusted to the hub and with the e-brake off it

spins independently from the hub, however when I try to pull it off the hub I

feel a hook or spring mechanism inside holding on to the rotor. Any help would

be very appreciated I have never replaced rear disc brakes every. And my 91

318 has rear discs not drums btw.

You will probably need to loosen the star adjusters for the rear parking brake. The the hub should clear the parking brake shoes.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

You are correct. That same night I reviewed my manual and had to adjust

        both of them. Thank you
