I just got some hawk ceramic pads, I ordered some brembo drilled and slotted front rotors and hopefully I can get some TMS brake lines and get them installed within a few weeks. I havent heard anything about hawk ceramic pads around here, i picked mine up for 60 at the tire rack.

Hawk Ceramic pads are terrible on a street car--bite is awful. Had them on my wife's E30 cause a vendor recommended them for longevity and low dust. She mentioned to me a couple of times that she had a hard time stopping short when someone would pull out in front of her, but I thought she was exaggerating--until I just about rear-ended an SUV on the expressway. Switched over to Hawk HPS and we're both much happier now.I just got some hawk ceramic pads, I ordered some brembo drilled and slotted front rotors and hopefully I can get some TMS brake lines and get them installed within a few weeks. Basically, nothing will feel "good" in E30 brakes other than the HP+. I'm experimenting with a set of the Stoptech Street performance pads right now (wore out my HP+) and they seem to be tolerable.
But again, the nature of the HP+ is that it should NEVER be used on track because it will feel awesome right up to the point when you have no brakes at all.2006 GMC Sierra 2500HD 4WD LBZ/Allison

I can vouch for HP+ being awesome on the street. I love the crap out of mine. They are certainly very noisy at times though.Basically, nothing will feel "good" in E30 brakes other than the HP+. Well that's not good, but I guess I'll see (or hear) how bad it is. It's always a trade-off though, and I'd rather have the stopping power over squeaking.Comment
