I was driving back froma friends house 2 blocks away from my house when i heard a LOUD boom noise coming from the back of my car and a loud scraping noise, followed by the car shaking like hell. It only happens when you depress the clutch. So i parked in front of my house put the e-brake up and leave the car in first then i slowly depress the clutch so the car can move forward slightly then the sound will happen. I had my friend/neighbor look at the rear axle and he said that the whole transmission would move down with the subframe and then is accompanied by the "boom" sound. WTF IS WRONG????

Is the sound speed related? RPM related?
My 325 made a similar noise when the diff mounting bolts vibrated loose, allowing the diff to shift. During engine braking, the driveshaft would rub against the tunnel, causing an ungodly scraping noise and vibration. Two new bolts later, quiet as a baby...
