How do you remove this?

I'm in the begining stages of removing my rear sub-frame for bushing replacement. I can't seem to remove the abs sensor even though I've removed the bolt. How does this come off?

I did mine recently but I forgot...is there two bolts?

If there's only one it should just pry off. There's about an inch of metal sticking in the hole(you can't see) it's a tight fit...keep wiggling it and it'll come off

It's just stuck, soak it with pb blaster, wiggle it side to side gently and take your time.

Just one bolt. I stripped it so I had to use a t30 star to remove it. The drivers and passengers side is the same way. I'll spray some lube on it and wiggle it.

It still would not budge. So, I tried to wiggle it with some pliers on the mounting flange to the point of making the flange week. I then tryed to pry it (I know this was a no-no, but it had to come off) and it broke.....25 years of grime had it locked in. Looks like a new one is 125 bucks or so. Bummer..

Yea. I thought of that after I broke it. I'll do that to passenger side for sure.

tap it with a rubber mallet..its just stick together since it have been there for too long.

I tapped and tapped and then more than tapped to no avail.
I noticed that there was metal shavings all around the thing. I guess over
25 years the magnets inside the sensor drew some of those shavings down into the housing and possibly rusted the thing in?

I had the same problem and worked on it for hours. I ended up having to drill it out. Was not fun.

Ever hear of heat? heating the area with a torch. I had the same problem I was able to bend the mounting point back and get a screw driver in there but I couldn't make it budge. So I got heat on it some WD 40 or equivalent and gently moved it back and forth until it came free. Hammered the flange flat and re-installed it.

Someone on here should have a used one kicking around. but an ad up in the want to buy section.

I don't have a torch. I would be worried of melting the wiring too.
I did post a WTB and got two replies so I will be getting a used one.

yeahh I wouldn't torch something like that anyway.

You SHOULD be able to just unplug at the seat and get everything out that way. Then remove the axel so you have a little more access.

I feel fortunate now, mine just slid out like butta.
