I got off work last night and jumped into the vert, pulled my handbrake and it kinda "popped". It has been in need of adjustment as the lever pulls way up and for the most part barely holds the car. Well last night after the "pop" the lever would only come up about 1/4 of the way as if I had just done a brake job and fully adjusted the bitch. Next thing you know its back to normal, or rather in need of adjustment again ??? Can anyone shed some light on this ? Cable bind, inner shoe bind, ? I pulled the parkin brake lever cover and went ahead and adjusted it a bit and it seems to be fine today so far.......

Well you have too much play in the assembly and one of the part got
stuck where it usually doesn't.

Like one of the brake shoe could have popped out of #7 for
example but then went back to its original position.
Anyway you should adjust the ebrake now before it gets stuck on.
