Alternative pad to PF 06 ??

We are in dire emergency need of a race pad for our 325e LeMons car. It seems the Performance Friction 06 pads are on nationwide backorder and we need something else NOW. 100% track-driven car, needs to hold up to 8 hours of abuse by novice, sloppy and ungainly drivers.

    Did you check with Bimmerworld?

PFC-01 pads would be my next choice. They won't last as long as the 06 compound and will be slightly more agressive, but otherwise they are interchangeable.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Lol! If you're running 06 in the front the 01 should work great in the rear. I bet they'd last too.

That combination will work, though I haven't found it to be any better that 06 or 01 compounds all the way around.

How many times do I have to tell people that the HP+ is a street/autox pad ONLY and is NOT to be used on track? Seriously, if you're going to claim that the HP+ is an acceptable pad for any sort of race car you need to refrain from posting in the brakes section.

I never mentioned anything about them being great track pads. I only mentioned that they are aggressive. I use them for the rear of my drift car to initiate a drift into a turn; they lock up pretty well.

The OP stated he NEEDED something else for his track car. I merely brought up the Hawks because I have some experience with them. Then again, I don't know shit about "race cars" that have to do 8 hours of constant heavy track time. I'm only "claiming" they are pretty aggressive for my drift car. But I guess it's not a race car... I apologize to the R3V community, especially the brakes section, for my post. Disregard what I said.

Can you get any hawk compounds? I've usually gotten good life out of DTC-60's, average was 3-4 track weekends a set (so 6-8 track days) that should get you pretty close to 8hrs...
