M3 Front Wheel Hub on ETA?

Will the 5 bolt M3 front wheel hub and bearing (31212225362) fit the '87 ETA front spindle? I have heard that the M3 rear hub is a direct replacement. Can anyone confirm this?

nope, won't work

if it did, I'd expect 90% of this community to have 5 lug e30s
