    Question about removing rear subframe

I am planning on removing my subframe and trailing arms this week to replace all the bushings. I want to leave the trailing arms attached to the subframe and drop everything in one piece. Disconnecting the brake lines seems easy enough, but I am worried about the parking brake. Is there an easier way to disconnect the parking brake than taking apart the whole rear brake assembly?

Thanks, any advice is greatly appreciated

It is pretty easy to disassemble the parking brake mechanism and disconnect the cables. I suppose you could pull the cables from the car along with the subframe, but I always disconnect the cables at the rear wheels.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I always disconnect the cables at the ebrake lever. Takes 5 minutes and have a friend feed them out. Definitely much easier than pulling apart the rear brakes and parking brake.

I think i'm going to disconnect them from the ebrake lever, as it seems much easier

QFT. I wish I had done this when I did my sub-frame years ago. I disconnected the parking brakes at the rear and then due to motor swap issues the car sat for over a year and I totally forgot how to put the brakes back together.

I will add a +1 to the ebrake line bit - just make sure you bring it down evenly or else the metal tops of the bushings will break off inside the car and then you have to drill/hammer them out and thats a huge pain.

Huh? The cables get unbolted from the lever and should be completely fed out of the car (tubes).
