I would say that this car can't be driven at all until the bearings are replaced. If you can't afford about $100 for a pair if bearings, I submit that you can't afford to drive any car and need to get a bicycle or walk.

I got this car for 1k, I'm obviously not rolling in money. if I could buy 2 right now I would, but I can't. I've got one ordered and need my dd back so its just gonna have to be one for now.
luckily my familyet me borrow one of their cars so the e30 is not driving till its fixed.

so got the new bearing today. everything came out easy except the outer race of the old bearing. its jammed in there! i made a cheapo bearing puller that i saw on some thread. the bearing doesnt want to move just all the shit i used to make the puller is bending...
any easy way to get this out?

Probably ur best bet is going to be a hammer and a chissel or punch and hit it till it comes out. Try working it out evenly so it doesn't get kinked to one side.

Is the outer race stuck in the trailing arm or on the hub? If it's on the hub u can carefully cut a slit it in then it should come off pretty easily with hammer and punch. Just be carefull not to cut the hub. If you do just sand it down or something so there isint and edge on the hub.

If it's in the trailing arm try the first thing I said, or try something else :/

its the outer race stuck in the trailing arm. ive also been using a slide hammer, and a punch with a sledge hammer. hasnt moved at all.
gonna go get a torch and heat it up

ugh, it still hasnt moved whatsoever... tried using a steering wheel puller with a plate braced on the inner part of the race, and all thats done is break a few sockets so far.
i need this damn thing out today, ive rented 4 tools and nothings worked.
