If you don't have a c clamp, install the caliper on the bracket loosely with one old brake pad. Then with a large flat head screwdriver or pry bar, pry against the brake pad and push the pad toward the piston until its all the way compressed. Does that make sense?

I have switched from using a piston compressor to just using channel locks, its nice having pistons that don't need to be rotated as you compress the anymore.
Don't forget to check your master cylinder level before you compress the piston to ensure you don't spew out fluid inside your engine bay and garage floor.Comment
