I was wondering if the rear disc brakes out of a 325e or 325i would swap over to my 85 318i pretty easily. i just feel like it would have a little better of stopping power rather than those teeny little drums in the back.

You'll have to get the rear trailing arms out off a e30 with disc brakes to be able to at least mount the calipers on. Along with all the brake parts such as rear calipers, discs, hand brake cables and all the hand brake shoes and bits that go inside the disc drum.
