Brake Questions. Advice please :):)

I have
*RX7 Calipers
*Hawk HPS+
*New rear Rotors/brakes

I did not upgrade to..
*Master Cylinder
*Stainless steel brake lines


I just flushed and replaced my brake fluid.. and my brake pedal are spongy!!
I checked if their are any leaks, none present. I reflushed and replaced brake fluid patiently and efficiently three times to the same spongy pedal.

My question..

what the fuck?

First of all, what's a stainless steel cylinder?

Second, did you pressure bleed the brakes?

You've got air in there for sure. 4-pots can be a pain to bleed but once you get the air out your pedal should feel at least as good as it did before (if not better due to the fresh fluid)

Wooops my bad, not stainless steel cylinder, Stainless steel braided brake lines,
and yes, I have a harbor freight pressure bleeder, I used about 12 pounds of pressure.

I guess I have to refresh the calipers, because I just replaced the fluid again.. & the pistons were barely moving.

this is interesting.do the rx7 calipers really make that much of a difference?
maybe once theyre working u can tell me more. ill have to look up what modifications are needed for em to work on early models.
And does avery rebuild calipers?? i need to send him some. cause i know exactly where to get rx7 calipers. i just found out about this mod today
