    Stopping shorter

To get more stopping power, what upgrades can I do? I dont really wanna go to a BBK. No caliper upgrades or anything like that? I'm just curious. I have H&R Sports with Bilstein sports and I want a stiffer setup, but its ok for now. Next I wanna do brake mods before I go do anything to the motor. So... what can I do to stop in shorter distances? (not talking about brake fade)

The best and easiest is wider, sticker tires.

The more grip you have to the road, the harder the brakes can grab before locking up the wheel.

Big rotors don't make you brake any shorter!!! Nor is that what they are good for....

Pad selection is key. But Jordan hit the nail on the head. To back up what he said, here is stoptech:

“You can take this one to the bank. Regardless of your huge rotor diameter, brake pedal ratio, magic brake pad material, or number of pistons in your calipers, your maximum deceleration is limited every time by the tire to road interface. That is the point of this whole article. Your brakes do not stop your car. Your tires do stop the car. So while changes to different parts of the brake system may affect certain characteristics or traits of the system behavior, using stickier tires is ultimately the only sure-fire method of decreasing stopping distances.”
If you're not on a track, get Axxiss Ultimates or Mintex Redbox.
And get some sticky tires. AND NOT GODDAMN SHITTY ES100s either.

        Tires, then pads.

Tires improve everything on a car. Shame so many want to scrimp on them.

Those were the answers I was expecting. Better tires and pads. I know bigger rotors dont make you stop faster :) They just keep them from fading for longer. I just got new tires less than 2 weeks ago, so I guess the next step would be Axxis Ultimates.
