    Which wheel bearings/hubs to buy?

So I'm 98% sure my front wheel bearings are going. I'm looking at the different makes and I'm not sure which I want to buy. I def don't want the super cheap ones but are the really expensive ones worth it in terms of longevity etc?

So here's what I'm looking at.

    Code:
    Brand Price per hub
    First Equipment Quality $48
    Optimal $55
    FAG $152
    SKF $105
    Meyle $75
    Ruville $131
    OEM BMW $115
I'm sure OEM is good, FAG is a well known German bearing company, SKF is a well known Swedish bearing maker. Heard of Meyle, another German company, don't think they specialize in bearings though. Rest I've never even heard of.

I have some chinese things that I wouldn't trust as far as I can throw them and they have been in for 2 years now with no issues.. I Think I paid 45 bucks for them from FCP on teh fleabays. It might be that FEQ one listed first. I still have the boxes floating around somewhere.

Basically, It's a crapshoot for the cheaper ones. Less so for the better ones. I'm a big fan of SKF bearings though. Meyle makes quality stuff too.

You live by my brother.... He's in Boyertown. I do believe that he's the store manager for the Reading Napa. But I might be off on the town. It's either that or near there.

I think you're over thinking it.

Just go with the FAG, SKF, or Ruville (believe all three are OEM suppliers for different componenets), Meyle would be interesting though.

          Blunt doesn't sell FAGs though

EDIT: The pic of the ruville's that he sells has FAG on the bearing. Think I'm going to go with the SKFs though.

FEQ is also chinese made to US specs but I wont recommend them to anyone unless thats what they want. Email me if I can help you personally

I nabbed some Meyles from blunt and beat the crap out of them with RS3s for 15k miles. They should be fine, but if I had the cash to throw around I would still spring for some SKFs or FAGs and repack them.

He is one of many. Just happens to be the preference of some people on this board. You can also try Guten Parts, or anybody else that has access to the IMC,SSF, or WorldPac warehouses.

I don't order parts from anyone but blunt unless I'm buying locally and need shit RIGHTTHEFUCKNOW. He's usually pretty good at getting you shit next day if you're in a time crunch, though.
