    Problems with new pads.

I just went to put my new discs and pads on to my discbrake controllarms in preperation for the discbrake conversion, when i went to put the pads in they do not fit. The pads seem to be to thick! they are the right part number and the piston is pressed in as far as it can go! Is there anything i can do? can i take the face of the pads down a bit it only misses by 1mm (.03 inch according to lougle) im not 100% sure on what i should do here.

Are you sure the piston is all the way in? Use a C-clamp.

I'd say break out the sandpaper then.

I wasw thinking that but did not know if it could cause damage to the pad.
